Compassionate Care of Adventists

While the Adventists claim their mission values are 'Health and Wholeness through Christian Service' I hardly think the following would be considered Christ like. If this is what the Adventist health does to people in the name of Christ, I have to wonder, what would Jesus do?

Keep this in mind as you see the following pictures.

This patient was injured as a result of falling down a full flight of stairs. This 90+ year old gentleman was immediately taken by Paramedics to Menifee Hospital in Sun City. While he was seen there and tests were done, the family was advised that this hospital was not equipped to deal with these extensive injuries and was assured that he would receive the specialty care at Loma Linda Medical Center that he needed. At this time, it was determined that the X-ray did show a broken nose with extensive damage.

This patient was transferred to Loma Linda Medical Center on July 25th, 2007 in the ER. By the time the family had arrived, his face had been stitched up, not by a plastic surgeon as recommended. While his eye was pulling down, this was dismissed by the staff of this hospital. No further tests or x-rays were taken. So this man laid on a hard gurney in excruciating pain for 4 hours, after which time he was released to go home.

Common sense tell us that anyone in this condition should have at least been kept to observe and against the wishes of the family, he was released to go home. The following pictures were taken the day he was released, less then 10 hours after the original accident. When asked why Adventology hospital Loma Linda discharges patients with active "I-V" lines in their wrists, Barb Clark cited, "some medical institutions are just not as skilled as others in what they practice." [see photos below]

Finally this gentleman is getting the treatment he so desperately needs at a Hospital and from Doctors that practice real medicine versus Patient Dumping and elder abuse like the other so called compassionate people

First two pictures sent were taken on 7-26-07
Let me remind you that this man was released in this condition.

The next three pictures sent were taken on 7-30-07

The next pictures sent were taken on 8-3-07
Taken BACK to Loma Linda, this patient was sent home with the IV STILL in his hand.
Again, the hospital stated there was nothing wrong with him?
