Is the National Health Information Network really the National Health Intelligence Network?
It is interesting to note remarks made by President George W. Bush in Dublin, Ohio on 2/16/2006; including, "making wider use of electronic records and other health information technology…we're on our way to providing a nationwide information network.”
This initiative has become known as the National Health Information Network (NHIN). NHIN has received government research funding grants estimated at $100 million.
The benefactors of NHIN federal contracts have many of their roots deep into the intelligence community (I.C.), which includes the Central Intelligence Agency (C.I.A.). It is no secret that former President George H. W. Bush was director of the C.I.A. before he become America’s 41st president.

Information has been circulating for many years that the C.I.A. based venture capital company, known as In-Q-Tel, may have links to various software vendors providing the building blocks for the NHIN. The major defense contractor that has been funded to build the prototype NHIN is Computer Sciences Corporation of Arlington, Virginia.

The key objective to comprehending NHIN is to understand the concept of cross-indexing and matching of records. Data mining and cross indexing allows intelligence agencies to compare fragmented pieces of information to create a greater whole. In essence, a brand new piece of information is created by the aggregation of different fragments.

According to the Internal Revenue Service tax returns for the Adventist Health System – West (Roseville, Ca 95666) the “non-profit” religious hospital system has deployed a software system information system for its twenty (20) hospitals using a software package that could easily interface with the NHIN.

With data sharing and data mining technology Adventist Health System – West can easily provide a lifestyle mining portal to federal and state agencies. These agencies may already collect information about your travel, consumer behavior, Internet activities, etc. With the deployment of the NHIN they will also have the capability to correlate these activities with your record of health care usage.

The ethical and moral dilemma of a “religious” organization being involved with such activities is obvious. However, consider that Adventists hospitals at Roseville, California enjoy complete non-profit tax exempt status and revenues from federal Medicare contracts valued at about $1.6 billion ($1,600 million). The secrecy that a religious front provides is also equally obvious.

When taken as an aggregate, the foregoing information illustrates the overall objective of political powers to provide warm and glowing endorsements of the Adventist religious cult and their non-profit hospitals.

The secrecy afforded by a religious cult (like the Adventists) harmonizes very well with the secrecy culture of the C.I.A. This is why the Adventist secret data center in Roseville, Ca (95666) is the most probably site for the establishment of the prototype NHIN data mining hub, as the Adventists control the lion’s share of market share for hospital-based medical services in California, Oregon, Hawaii, and Washington state (estimated to be 65 – 70%).

Once completed (estimates of early 2009), this data mining hub will have the ability to correlate an individual’s medical treatment record and explanation of benefits with a prototype electronic medical record (EMR). The EMR will be the foundational electronic record that is managed for citizens of America.
